This new residence is located on an ocean-facing view site in a golf estate. It is a single storey home that is terraced to follow the natural contours of the site.

The concept was to create light shafts in the form of courts. These areas also double up as outside living spaces during periods when windy coastal weather prevails.

By using the slope as a secondary concept, we were able to treat the most open plan living spaces differently and it was possible to lower and raise some areas allowing privacy but retaining views.

Further privacy is achieved by screens, allowing for large windows behind the screens but lending privacy from neighbouring properties.
